SRH beats PBKS by 4 wickets in the IPL 2024

In the IPL season 2024, Prabhsimran Singh set the stage with a rapid fifty, and skipper Jitesh Sharma’s late fireworks propelled the Punjab Kings to a formidable 214/5 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
After opting to bat, Prabhsimran and AtharvaTaide put on 97 runs from 55 balls, surviving the power play. Prabhsimran scored 71 off 45 balls, hitting seven fours and four sixes, while Taide contributed 46 off 27 balls.
After the dismissal of Taide Prabhsimran, RileeRossouw added 54 runs off 32 balls to maintain the momentum. The breakthrough came when leg-spinner Vijayakanth Viyaskanth dismissed Prabhsimran, followed by Pat Cummins taking Rossouw’s wicket at 49 in the 18th over.
Despite missing key players Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone, PBKS delivered a fearless batting display. Prabhsimran and Taide dominated the power play, with the latter dismissed by Natarajan in the 10th over. Prabhsimran's 34-ball fifty in the 11th over and a 20-run assault on Nitish Reddy highlighted PBKS’s aggressive innings.
