The senior fast bowler of Indian cricket team Jasprit Bumrah’s father passed away when he was in second grade and his sister Juhika in fourth grade. He stated that after his father’s untimely demise, life suddenly changed for them, but added that the tragedy brought the family closer.
After facing hard times, the fortunes of Bumrah’s changed when he made his debut for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League in the 2013 season, and the rest is history. Recently, Bumrah also won Player of the Tournament as India lifted the T20 World Cup title for the second time.
While speaking on a show, Bumrah recalled how the sudden death of his father changed the lives of the family members and also how the tragic event brought them closer.
Bumrah said, “As I told you, my father passed away when I was in second grade and my sister in fourth grade. Then we became really close as a family because life suddenly changed. We had some financial issues as well. So my mother started working.”
He further went on to add, “We became very close as a family because we went through a lot of ups and downs. But since then, that bond has become stronger and stronger. And that has only grown over the years.”
Juhika Bumrah’s sister now works in the makeup industry. The cricketer admitted that his sister does his makeup during his shoots and added that the family is content with how life has treated them.
