Star player of England clarifice old comment on Yashasvi Jaiswal

The young batsman of Indian Cricket Team YashasviJaiswal broke number of records during a 5 match test series against England in the month of January this year. He scored 712 runs in 5 matches and help team India win the series with a dominating score line of 4-1. With his aggressive batting which consisted of 2 double centuries and two centuries Jaiswal also joined former batsman Sunil Gavaskar in the elite list of Indian batsman to score more than 700 runs in a test series. However during the series the comment of England batsman Ben Duckett for Jaiswal got criticized a lot.

After seeing the aggressive batting approach of JaiswalDuckett had said that the credit of Jaiswal fiery technique should be given to the English batsman. This statement lead to a lot of criticism as many formal cricketers and cricket experts slammed him for not appreciating jaiswal. However 8 months after the series the opener of England has opened up on his statement.

Duckett said, “it was actually me paying Jaiswal a nice complement. I am pretty sure I said he was a world class player but no one spoke about that. Would I have said what I did during the 5th test? No because he played like that throughout the whole series and he was incredible.”

“It was Baz who said: “why do you have to go and bat like these previous openers? Why can't you be the best version of yourself?’ that's what I am. It has its downfalls: I nick off quite a lot. But I have also scored a lot of runs in that area. If I start to leave more balls, I bet you I’d still nick off and score a lot less runs.”
