T20 World Cup Selection Meeting is expected to be held in New Delhi
In a few days, the selectors of Team India are going to select the T20 World Cup squad, and there is unlikely to be any surprise. As expected, Virat Kohli is going to be picked in the 15-member squad despite debates over his scoring rates, especially against spin in the post-PowerPlay phase.
As per the recent reports, the international return for Rishabh is imminent. However, the choice of the second 'keeper could come down to a tossup between potential contenders KL Rahul and Sanju Samson. Even veteran player Dinesh Karthik, who has scored 251 runs at a strike rate of 196.08 in 8 games of IPL 2024, has said he is ready to step in if needed, but now it is up to selectors.
The selection meeting is expected to take place around April 28–29. Even though it is expected that Captain Rohit Sharma is going to attend the meeting, he will be in New Delhi on April 27 for the match against the Delhi Capitals. The World Cup will be held in the US and the West Indies from June 2 to 29.
