With this win, the Indian side took an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match T20I series against Australia. While chasing the target of 175 runs to keep the series alive, the visitors managed to score 154 runs at a loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Matthew Wade, scoring an unbeaten knock of 36-off-23, was the highest scorer for the Aussies in the fourth T20I, while Travis Head scored 31-off-16.
Axar Patel took three wickets in the form of Travis Head, Ben McDermott, and Aaron Hardie. On the other hand, Deepak Chahar added two scalps to his bowling figures. Tim David and Matthew Short were not able to handle Chahar.
Earlier, Rinku Singh (46) and Jitesh Sharma (35) took the Men in Blue to 174/9 in 20 overs. Ben Dwarshuis contributed with three wickets in the bowling department.
