Team India end title defence of England in semi-finals of 2024 T20 WC

The Indian cricket team defeated England by 68 runs in the semifinal of the 2024 T20 World Cup on Thursday to book their place in the final. This is the first time in 10 years that India has qualified for the final of a T20 World Cup, the last being in 2014. In the final, India will play first-time finalists South Africa on June 29. 
Batting first, India rode on knocks from Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav to post 171/7 in 20 overs. In reply, England succumbed to the spin-twins of Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel as the duo shared six wickets between them. In the end, the England cricket team were all out for 103 in 16.4 overs.
