The Australian cricket team outplays Pakistan as they register their second successive victory

The Australian cricket team defeated Pakistan by 62 runs in the 2023 World Cup clash on Friday. While chasing down the huge target of 368 runs, the Pakistan cricket team was bowled out for 305 runs in the 46th over. Openers Imam-ul-Haq (70) and Abdullah Shafique (64) put on 134. Marcus Stoinis sent back both set batters. Zampa also dismissed Mohammad Rizwan for 46. He ended up with figures of 4/53 from his 10 overs.
Earlier, David Warner made the most of an early reprieve as Australia set a target of 367 runs at the loss of nine wickets after being put in to bat.
Warner was on 10 when Usama Mir dropped an easy chance off Shaheen Afridi's bowling. Warner and Mitchell Marsh added 259 inside 34 overs for the opening wicket. Marsh was finally dismissed by Afridi for 121. The right-hander hit 10 fours and nine sixes in his 108-ball knock.
Afridi also sent back Glenn Maxwell for a first-ball duck. Steve Smith was caught and bowled by Usama for seven. Warner scored 164 runs on 124 balls. The southpaw smashed 14 fours and nine sixes in his blistering innings.
Afridi was the pick of the Pakistan bowlers, with figures of 5/54. Haris Rauf claimed 3/83 off his eight overs. The Aussies fielded an unchanged side, while Pakistan brought in Usama in place of Shadab Khan. Pakistan have two wins from four games, while five-time champions Australia have won two out of their four matches.
