The captain of Team Australia devises a plan to counter the Ashwin-Jadeja-Kuldeep threat

In the India vs. Australia clash of the World Cup 2023, the spin threat is real, and India’s spin trio in Chennai will be the real deal. However, Australia captain Pat Cummins is “not afraid”. On Thursday, Cummins asserted that his team has a “plan” to handle the spinners of India in the opening Cricket World Cup match. Australia will have to deal with off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja, and left-arm leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav in sweltering heat in Chennai.

Pat Cummins said the victory in the third ODI at Rajkot had made the bunch a “confident” lot before the blockbuster clash here on Sunday. India won the three-match series 2-1, but Australia won the Rajkot tie by 66 runs after notching a mammoth 352.

Pat Cummins said, “Preparation starts with training for the next few days before the game. The Australian guys play a lot of spin. Our batting order had played a lot in India and done well, so they know most of the Indian bowlers and they have a plan in place."
