After two weeks of non-stop action, the 19th edition of the Asian Games is ending with a glittering closing ceremony on Sunday, October 8th. The Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre is the venue for the final event of the 19th edition of the multisport event.
The Asian Games witnessed participation from nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories, competing across 40 sports. India registered the best-ever show in the history of the Games by winning a record 107 medals in total.
The closing ceremony featured the athletes’ feats and also the captivating blend of Chinese culture’s traditional and modern elements. The ceremony has cultural performances featuring over 2,100 dancers and other performers.

Like the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony will also witness the infusion of innovative technology and interactive elements to engage the audience, according to the director of the closing ceremony, Sha Ziaolan.
