The board of controls of cricket in India has announced the five-match T20I series squad of India against Zimbabwe. The youngster of team India, Shubman Gill, will lead the team, with selectors giving place to the top performers in IPL 2024.
The apex body has rested the senior Indian players, including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant, who are part of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, for the series.
Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Nitish Kumar Reddy have been rewarded for their superb displays in the 17th season of the IPL.
Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Khaleel Ahmed, who are still in the West Indies with the Men in Blue, will show their skills in Zimbabwe. While Samson and Jaiswal are part of the main squad in the global tournament, Khaleel and Rinku traveled as reserves. Gill and Avesh Khan also went with the Indian team but were sent back after the USA leg.
