The Pakistan Cricket Board requests enhanced security measures for Babar Azam and his teammates

Babar Azam and Co. do manage to find decent support everywhere. And sometimes a group of supporters can soon turn into a mob, just to get a glimpse of their favorite star.
This is exactly what happened in Cardiff prior to the third T20I between Pakistan and England. Pakistani players encounter enthusiastic fan interaction in England, raising questions about security effectiveness. A few supporters interrupted Babar during an interview, and he had to ask them to step back. In fact, such was the situation that he had to ask the security personnel to make them leave.
Just to tackle the supporters and fans, as per a report in Geo News, the PCB has asked the ECB for two additional security officers for the players. The report further suggests that the two officers will be present during the players’ movements.
There have been a few incidents in the past where the Pakistani players have been surrounded by way too many fans, and it is not possible for the players themselves to control them. Meanwhile, the Pakistan team has yet to register a win on the tour as two matches were washed out due to rain, and England had won the second match in Birmingham by 23 runs.
