The star batsman of the Pakistan cricket team is likely to be ruled out of the T20 World Cup before India versus Pakistan
In a big blow to Pakistan cricket team, their batsman Imad Wasim has been ruled out of the T20 World Cup 2024, the all-rounder of Pakistan cricket team who missed the tournament opener against the USA due to a side strain. As per a report by a news agency, Wasim could be given injections and painkillers in an attempt to make him fit for the IND vs. PAK clash at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 9.
As per the report, Imad is ‘80% certain’ of being sent back home after the contest against India. Mehran Mumtaz, who has cleared the fitness test at the NCA in Lahore, has been kept on standby. Meanwhile, youngster SaimAyub is expected to open the innings for the side along with Mohammad Rizwan.
Earlier, the captain of Pakistan cricket team Babar Azam had said, “Although Imad won’t play the first game, we hope that he will be available for the rest of the matches.”
