The vice captain of the Indian cricket team, Hardik Pandya, played down all the talk surrounding his form with a match-winning performance against Bangladesh in the T20 World Cup warm-up match. Hardik slammed and beaten 40 runs in 23 balls to help India post a target of 182 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. There have been a lot of talks surrounding the form of Hardik in the lead-up to the T20 World Cup, as the star all-rounder had a below-average season in the IPL.
Speaking on his knock against Bangladesh in New York, the former batsman of the Indian Cricket Team, Navjot Singh Sidhu, suggested that Hardik has silenced his critics before the upcoming match of India in the T20 World Cup.
Sidhu said, “There were many questions about Hardik Pandya, and they have been erased. The more you try to put Hardik Pandya down, the more he emerges and shines, just like a diamond shines after being continuously rubbed. Hardik Pandya is a great takeaway.”
