The West Indies cricket team defeated Australia by 37 runs in the 3rd T20I at Perth, with the series ending 2-1 in favor of the home team.
The visitors had a shaky start, faltering to 17 at the loss of three wickets before Andre Russell smashed 71 runs off 29 balls and Sherfane Rutherford smashed 67 not out off 40 balls, which helped the Windies to 220 for 6.
The Australian cricket team started brilliantly, with David Warner smashing 81 runs off 49 balls.
However, Roston Chase 2/19 and Romario Shepherd 2/31 strangled the batters of Australia in the middle overs as they lost three wickets for three runs. Tim David smashed 41 not-outs off 19 balls as Australia ended on 83 for 5 to lose by 37 runs.
The West Indies drew the Test series 1-1 before losing the ODI series 3-0 in Australia. Russell was named Player of the Match for his superlative half-century.
After going down 2-1 in the T20I series, the West Indies depart Australia with only their second T20 win.
