Three people were arrested for selling tickets for the India-Australia cricket match illegally

Around three people have been arrested by the police officers of Triplicane for the illegal sale of tickets for the India-Australia match in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. These three men were allegedly selling tickets for the cricket match in a black market. The upcoming World Cup cricket match between India and Australia will be held at M.A. Chidambaram Cricket Stadium in Chepauk on Sunday. According to the orders of Commissioner of Police Sandeep Rai Rathore, police teams, led by inspectors, are keeping a constant vigil.

The police team, led by inspector of police Triplicane, intercepted three people in three different locations—Walaja Road, Bells Road, and Walaja Road—Victoria Hostel Road Junction, where they were trying to sell illegal cricket match tickets in black. The police arrested R. Ragul, who is 26 years old in Coimbatore; M. Ramana, who is also 26 years old in Bengaluru; and Balkhori Pranath, who is 28 years old in Hyderabad. Forty tickets and ₹4,500 in cash were seized from them, said the police.
