The IPL 2024 is merely 10 days away, with the hype regarding the tournament building up in full swing. MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings will take on Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening match of the IPL 2024 season. To deal with long queues, CSK has planned to sell only online tickets for this year’s home matches. However, although only 10 days remain for the match to kick off, tickets are still not available on ticketing platform Paytm Insider’s website.
In spite of the website showing ‘coming soon’ for tickets to the CSK vs. RCB game, tickets for the Punjab Kings’ opening game and IPL 2024’s second match against the Delhi Capitals scheduled for March 23 have been made available on Paytm Insider’s website. PBKS vs. DC will be played at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium in Mohali.
Reports regarding CSK’s decision to sell tickets for home matches online surfaced recently with the aim of increasing revenue and keeping fans’ convenience in mind.
Earlier, fans had to wait in long lines to collect their physical tickets even after buying them online, leading to inconvenience. It also resulted in tickets being sold out before many fans could secure their seats.
The new process will effectively eliminate the need for physical queues and ensure a fair and convenient process for fans to secure their tickets.
