Former bowler of team Australia Tom Moody has praised the trade move of Hardik Pandya from the Gujarat Titans to five-time champions Mumbai India as a masterstroke.
After a successful stint with the Gujarat Titans, where he captained the team to their maiden IPL title in 2022 and led them to the finals in 2023, Pandya has returned to the Mumbai Indians, the franchise where he began his IPL career in 2015.
Taking to social media platform ‘X’, Moody called the move of Pandaya to MI a masterstroke, adding that GT have come off the worst in this move. This move makes Hardik Pandya one of the few captains to be traded in the IPL, joining the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and Ajinkya Rahane, who were traded in 2020.
Moody wrote on ‘X’ that "the last-minute trade for the Mumbai Indians allows them to secure @hardikpandya7, master stoke. Going green to @RCBTweets frees up the cash to secure the dream trade. Out of the 3 franchises involved, I feel the Titans have come off the worst.”
