Update Squad of Australia Cricket Team for ODI World Cup 2023 as some last-minute changes have been made
The Australian cricket team is going to start their journey in the ICC World Cup 2023 with an encounter against India. Australia will play a total of nine matches during the league stage of the ICC World Cup 2023. They will face India on October 8 in their opening match. Their last match of the league stage is against Bangladesh on November 11.
In the last edition of the ODI World Cup, Australia reached the semi-finals. However, they lost to England in the match and failed to reach the final. Australia last won the ODI World Cup in 2015 at home. Australia has won the ODI World Cup five times, making it the most successful team in the tournament’s history.
Australia had named a preliminary squad for the tournament. Pat Cummins is set to lead the team in the tournament. But they have made some last-minute changes to the squad.
Marnus Labuschagne has been included in Australia’s World Cup plans at the last moment. He hit a half century last night in the 3rd ODI against India at Rajkot. The selectors have also named recovering Travis Head to the squad.
