Anaya, who has played for Islam Gymkhana and Hinckley Cricket Club in the UK, emphasized that embracing her true self required difficult choices and a commitment to authenticity. However, she also shared her disappointment regarding the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) recent ruling that bars transgender athletes from participating in women’s cricket. Anaya voiced her frustration on social media, highlighting the emotional toll of losing strength and athletic ability due to HRT.
The ICC's decision has sparked discussions about inclusivity in sports, with Anaya advocating for policies that support transgender athletes without forcing them to choose between their passion and identity.
