Vikram Rathour backs RajatPatidar to come good in the IND vs ENG Ranchi Test and says he is a very good player

India’s batting coach, VikramRathour, has backed RajatPatidar. The middle-order batter has come under the scanner after back-to-back bad performances. However, the board apparently has its back on the player. Rathour has claimed that Patidar is a good batter, and he doesn’t become a bad player after two bad games.
While the new debutants like Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan impressed on their debuts, the same hasn’t been the case for Patidar. Having made his debut in the Vizag Test, he managed 32 and 9 runs, respectively. In the Rajkot test, his form dipped even further. He managed just 5 and 0.
VikramRathour said in the pre-match press conference, “As far as having conversations with Patidar, yes, we have been having a lot of conversations with him, but one thing he needs to understand is that this is how this game goes. He has been batting really well; he has scored a lot of runs to get into the team and hasn’t become a bad player in two matches.”
Rathour concluded, “He is a very good player. He has really batted well in whatever cricket he has played. He has had a few tough games and a few awkward dismissals where the ball has stopped on him. This can happen; this is how the game goes. There is absolutely no doubt that he is a good player, and on his day he will come up with a very impactful inning.”
