Virat Kohli Become Fastest Player to Score 14,000 Runs in ODIs

Virat Kohli has etched his name in cricket history by becoming the fastest player to score 14,000 runs in One-Day Internationals (ODIs). He achieved this remarkable milestone during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Pakistan on February 23, reaching the landmark with a boundary that brought him to 15 runs in the innings.

Kohli’s achievement came in just 287 innings, surpassing the previous records held by legends Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara, who reached the milestone in 350 and 378 innings, respectively. This accomplishment makes Kohli only the third player ever to cross the 14,000-run mark in ODIs, joining Tendulkar and Sangakkara in this exclusive club.

Throughout his illustrious career, Kohli has maintained an impressive average and has scored 50 centuries and 73 half-centuries, showcasing his consistency and prowess as a batsman. His journey began in 2008, and since then, he has set numerous records, including being the fastest to reach various run milestones. As India continues its campaign in the Champions Trophy, Kohli’s form will be crucial for their success as they aim for another title.
