Virat Kohli reached a significant milestone by becoming the fastest cricketer to score 27,000 international runs, achieving this feat in just 594 innings during the second Test against Bangladesh at Kanpur. This makes him the fourth player in history to reach this landmark, joining legends Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, and Kumar Sangakkara.

Kohli’s innings included a brisk 47 runs off 35 balls, featuring four boundaries and one six. His record-breaking achievement surpasses Tendulkar’s previous record of 623 innings to reach the same total. Kohli had previously set records for the quickest milestones at 25,000 and 26,000 runs as well.

With this latest accomplishment, Kohli continues to narrow the gap with Tendulkar, who holds the all-time record of 34,357 international runs.
