Virat Kohli surpasses the massive world record of Sachin Tendulkar in ODIs

The Indian cricket team's star batsman, Virat Kohli, surpassed Sachin Tendulkar to achieve a sensational record in the ODI format during the Asia Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan on Monday. Virat Kohli became the fastest batsman to reach 13,000 runs in ODI cricket as he reached the milestone in his 267th innings. Previously, this world record belonged to legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar, who achieved this massive feat in 321 innings, but Kohli broke the existing record with a brilliant knock against Pakistan. Australian great Ricky Ponting is third on the list, as he took 341 innings to score 13, 000 ODI runs.
Virat Kohli stayed and was beaten on 122 runs, while KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 111 runs as team India scored 356 runs at the loss of 2 wickets against Pakistan in a crucial super four match.
This was the fourth successive century for Virat Kohli at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. His scores from the last three matches at the venue were 128, 131, and 110 runs.
