The Hashmatullah Shahidi-led Afghanistan team proved that their victory over defending champions England was not a flash in the pan, as it got the better of the Pakistan team too. It was an easy victory for Afghanistan over their famed rivals as they climbed up to the sixth spot in the Cricket World Cup points table. Afghanistan made history by defeating Pakistan for the first time in ODIs, and the credit for this goes to the fabulous batting display by Afghanistan's top four and Noor Ahmed's outstanding three-wicket haul.
