The Bangladesh-based Celebrity Cricket League was launched on September 28 in a bid to boost morale before the World Cup 2023 in India turned out to be a brawl shortly after a friendly group match on Friday evening. The match was played between teams of renowned Bangladeshi film makers Mostafa Kamal Raj and Dipankar Dipon at the Mirpur Suhrawardy indoor stadium.
Although it was promoted as a friendly tournament, the match between the teams of film makers took an ugly turn as players from both camps were engaged in heated conversation with each other. According to the reports, actress Raj Ripa alleged that director Mostafa Kamal Raz and actor Sarif Razz had physically assaulted her after the match.
