Watch: Ahead of Brisbane Test Jasprit Bumrah shrugs off injury concerns, bowls in nets

In a significant relief for Indian cricket fans, JaspritBumrah has dispelled injury concerns and bowled at full intensity in the nets ahead of the Brisbane Test on December 14. Bumrah, who has been in exceptional form throughout the series, played a pivotal role in India’s victory in Perth and added four wickets in the Adelaide Test despite the team’s loss.

During the pink-ball Test, Bumrah sparked panic among fans when he appeared to struggle on the field and required attention from physios. While initial fears suggested a serious issue, it was later confirmed that he was merely experiencing cramps. In practice sessions leading up to the Brisbane Test, Bumrah had refrained from bowling but returned to form with a vigorous net session.

Australian journalist Bharat Sundaresan reported that Bumrah started his practice with leg-break deliveries alongside R Ashwin before switching back to his fast bowling, impressing Indian batters YashasviJaiswal and KL Rahul. Currently leading the wicket-takers chart in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with 12 wickets at an average of 11.25, Bumrah is eager to add to his tally as he aims for continued success in the upcoming match.
