After winning the opening game of IPL 2024 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Chennai Super Kings went to watch a movie to celebrate their victory. The CSK team was spotted leaving the Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai on Saturday as a large crowd waited outside the theater to catch a glimpse of the CSK stars.
Enormous crowds flocked to see the stars up close, and the entire theatre erupted in cheers when Dhoni came out. One could hear some of the supporters yelling “Thala,” which is how they lovingly refer to him. Chants of “Dhoni, Dhoni” rang in the air as the former CSK captain got inside his car without any major hiccups. The security was busy making sure the players and Dhoni left without any problems.

On Sunday, a fan uploaded the entire video to X. Notably, the Sathyam Cinemas in Chennai is one of the most iconic movie theatres in the city. It was acquired by PVR in 2018.
