Mohammed Siraj, who is one of the finest bowlers on team India currently, and his ability to deliver with both the new ball and at the death is a big asset. At M.Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru against the Netherlands, Siraj once again showed his class in the opening over by drawing first blood for India with a classical outswinger.
However, he did go for some runs after the first wicket-maiden over, as the flat deck at M. Chinnaswamy provided little help. However, it was the blow that Siraj got on his throat in the 15th over that will be a bit of concern for India, as the man looked in a lot of pain and walked off the field after settling himself near the boundary ropes for some time.

Actually, it was a straightforward drop catch that led to Siraj getting hit in the throat. Kuldeep Yadav bowled a nice tossed-up delivery in the middle, and Max O'Dowd made some room to tonk it down the ground. However, he did not time it properly, and the ball went high in the air long on. Siraj settled it and had it covered, but somehow the ball did not stick in his hands and ended up hitting him in the throat.
