Watch: Catch by Daryl Mitchell forces Babar Azam to miss the special century

The captain of Pakistan cricket team Babar Azam was on the verge of hitting a memorable century on his first visit to India on Friday, but a spectacular effort from Daryl Mitchell on the field did not allow him to do that, forcing him to leave the field after a classy 84-ball 80 in their World Cup warm-up clash in Hyderabad.
It was a slower delivery by Mitchell Santner, who pitched on a length region and turned away outside the off stump. Babar, currently the No. 1-ranked ODI batsman in the world, tried to play a slog sweep on one knee but did not get the timing right.
As a result, the ball did not clear the boundary, and Daryl Mitchell, charging in from the long-on region, took an excellent low catch to complete his dismissal.

Unsurprisingly, Babar seemed disappointed after the catch, considering he had the opportunity to get to another scintillating hundred, that too in his first match in India. The stylish batter started to walk to the dressing room slowly after a brilliant knock, which was laced with eight fours and two sixes.
