While fielding late in the day, Kohli was heard sledging Labuschagne, suggesting that he had no idea how to handle JaspritBumrah’s bowling. This playful exchange occurred as Labuschagne faced a challenging spell from Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj in difficult batting conditions.

Despite Kohli’s attempts to unsettle the Australian batsmen, they managed to survive the day. Nathan McSweeney and Labuschagne formed a solid partnership, adding over 50 runs together. At stumps, Australia was well-placed at 86/1, trailing India’s first innings total of 180 by 94 runs.
