However, there was a time in the match when Hardik Pandya survived an injury scare that happened when a Pant throw hit him. Pandya had bowled a slower one to Mitchell Starc, who failed to connect. Pant collected the ball and aimed at the stumps. The ball missed the stumps and went on to hit Pandya's hand. The star all-rounder was unhappy with the incident, while the captain of India, Rohit Sharma, was frustrated.
