Team India bowling star Mohammad Shami rubbed salts into the wounds of South Africa with a hilarious jibe taken following India's massive win in the ICC World Cup 2023 league-stage encounter in Kolkata on Sunday, i.e., November 5.
The experienced seamer took a funny jibe at the power-packed Proteas batting line-up, which had been piling on huge scores for fun earlier in the tournament but got bundled out for a disastrous 83 all-out against India's mighty bowling attack.
The Temba Bavuma-led side had dominated other oppositions into submission with the bat in hand, blasting the highest World Cup score of 428 runs at the loss of five wickets against Sri Lanka and crossing the 300-run mark in five of their previous seven batting efforts of the tournament.

Moments after the victory was completed and the much-vaunted South African threat was cast aside, Shami spoke to host broadcaster Star Sports on their Hindi feed and made a hilarious jibe at the Proteas batting unit. As he was asked by former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif about the bowling display, Shami said, "Har baar 400 paar karne walo ka haal dekho.”
