The Indian cricket team had a good start to their ODI World Cup 2023 match against Pakistan, as the visitors were bundled out for 191 runs. While asked to bat first, the Pakistan cricket team started their innings on a good note with Abdullah Shafique and Imam ul Haq stitching a good partnership, but Mohammed Siraj provided the host with their first break through in the form of Shafique. Later on, the entire bowling unit contributed as the innings of the Pakistan cricket team came to an end in only 42.5 overs. Only captain Babar Azam played a decent knock of 50 runs and provided the Pakistan cricket team with some hope, but Siraj took his wicket in the 30th over.
