The premium batman of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, underwent one of the worst phases of his career from 2020 until the middle of 2022. The legendary Indian cricketer struggled to put runs on the board, be it for Team India across all international formats or for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
His English batting rival and opener of the Rajasthan Royals, Jos Buttler, on the other hand, smashed 863 runs in the IPL 2022 to secure the coveted ‘Orange Cap’ that year.
During an interview, Virat Kohli hilariously recalled his IPL 2022 interaction with Jos Buttler when the latter sought him for tips, even though the Englishman was at the peak of his batting prowess at the time.
The legendary Indian batsman hilariously revealed that he responded back by mocking his own torrid run with the bat and added that the latter does not need any advice because he is wearing the ‘Orange Cap’.

Kohli recalled, “Jos Buttler aaye, Rajasthan ke match ke baad. Kehte hai mujhe kuch puchna hai. Mene kaha tere sar pe orange cap lagi hui hai aur tu mujhse puch raha hai, mujhse toh ek bhi run nahi ban raha."
