WATCH: With a Massive Six Yashasvi Jaiswal brings up his second Test hundred

Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his remarkable run in international cricket with a magnificent century in the ongoing second Test between India and England at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium. After missing out on a three-figure mark in the opening Test, Jaiswal made amends by smashing his second Test century and third overall. Jaiswal completed his third international century in 151 balls, and the way he achieved the milestone was a sight to behold.
With no fear of getting out in the ‘nervous nineties’, Jaiswal danced down the track and smashed Tom Hartly over long for a massive six. As soon as he hit the ball, Jaiswal, knowing he had cleared the boundary, took off his helmet, stretched his arms wide in front of a rapturous stadium, and basked in the glory.

After taking the IPL 2023 by storm, Jaiswal has seamlessly transitioned into international cricket. Less than seven months into his international career, Jaiswal already has three centuries to his name. He is the only batter to score two centuries in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023–25 cycle. His maiden international ton came against the West Indies in his debut Test in July 2023. He then scored his maiden T20I century against Nepal at the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023.
He missed out on the century in the opening Test in Hyderabad after being dismissed for 80 by Joe Root. Jaiswal fell cheaply for 15 in the second essay as India went on to lose the first Test by 28 runs. After losing Rohit Sharma (14) and Shubman Gill (34) in quick succession, Jaiswal and Shreyas Iyer steadied India’s innings with a 90-run partnership for the fourth wicket. But Tom Hartley broke the dangerous-looking partnership by dismissing Iyer for 27 in the 51st over of the day.
