With 10-wicket haul in Ranji Trophy Anshul Kamboj creates history, third bowler to achieve this feat

Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj achieved a historic feat by claiming all 10 wickets in a single innings against Kerala during their Ranji Trophy 2024/25 round five match in Rohtak. On Day 3, Kamboj dismantled Kerala’s batting lineup with figures of 10/49, becoming only the third bowler in Ranji Trophy history to take all 10 wickets in an innings. He joined Bengal’s Premangshu Chatterjee (10/20) and Rajasthan’s Pradeep Sundaram (10/78) in this elite club. Previously, Joginder Sharma held the best figures for a Haryana bowler with 8 wickets against Vidarbha in 2004/05.

By the end of the previous day, Kamboj had already taken eight wickets. The following morning, he bowled Basil Thampi for his ninth and dismissed Shoun Roger to complete his 10-wicket haul, bowling Kerala out for 291. His final figures were 30.1-9-49-10. This achievement also marked Kamboj as the sixth Indian to take 10 wickets in a First-Class innings, joining legends like Anil Kumble and SubhashGupte.

Fresh from representing India A in the ACC Emerging Asia Cup and excelling in the Duleep Trophy with an eight-wicket haul, Kamboj was signed by Mumbai Indians for IPL 2024. He also played a key role in Haryana’s Vijay Hazare Trophy win, taking 17 wickets in 10 matches.
